Special steel products in hot pressing plant
We forge you the right component for every application
Forged products made of special steel are our specialty. At the Max B. Schachmann hot pressing plant in the Eifel region, we manufacture your component quickly, cost-effectively and to the highest quality. Whether for mechanical engineering, medical or pressure equipment technology - we forge your product from your desired material.
Thanks to the use of European steel, our forgings in the hot press shop already have a high basic quality. By using special steel, you can also give your forging various properties. In this way, you get exactly the right product for your project in the hot pressing plant.
Special steel for every application
We give your product these properties in the hot pressing plant
Special steels are made from special alloys that improve certain properties such as hardness, corrosion resistance or heat resistance. This allows us to adapt your component precisely to its area of application. Our special steels include, for example, unalloyed nickel, nickel-based wrought alloys, molybdenum alloys, titanium alloys, pure iron and tantalum. Many different properties are possible with our special steel.
Some of our special steels have high strength. They are particularly suitable for components which, depending on the application, have to withstand very high loads, for example in their use in mechanical engineering. In addition, we can process high-strength steel from very thin sheet thicknesses.
Very hard special steels are extremely resistant and wear much more slowly than conventional steel. This significantly extends the service life of your component. Hard special steels are ideally suited for the manufacture of tools and cutting instruments.
Corrosion-resistant special steels are particularly resistant to environmental influences such as seawater or organic acids. This makes our stainless steels the perfect material for applications in humid or aggressive environments that demand exceptional resistance from the material.
Our heat-resistant special steels are specially designed for high-temperature applications in the 600 to 1200 °C range . Thanks to their resistance to such high temperatures, these steel grades are suitable for extreme applications such as aerospace.
Some of our special steels are biocompatible. This means that they have no negative effects on human health or that of other living creatures. This makes these steels particularly suitable for applications in medical technology, such as the manufacture of implants .
