1959 |
Max Bernhard Schachmann founds the current Warmpresswerk
Max B. Schachmann GmbH on 23rd January in Plettenberg. After putting the
first forging press into operation, the company starts to produce radiator
screw connectors. Due to a lack of space, the company begins the process
of moving to Niederstadtfeld, Eifel as early as November of the same year.

1960 |
Following the move, the company begins to expand in Niederstadtfeld.
In addition, it starts to produce forged items for the automobile industry and the
mechanical engineering industry in general. |
1967 |
The current owner and co-managing director, Hans-Joachim Willke, joins the company. |
1972 |
Hans-Joachim Willke becomes managing director of Warmpresswerk Max B. Schachmann GmbH. |
2001 |
Hans-Werner Hommelsen is appointed as a second managing director. |
Heute |
The company currently has nine forging presses with a capacity of 31500 kN. We produce forged items of all sorts of shapes and sizes from a wide variety of steels. |
