Our Manufacturing Process

Our Manufacturing Process | Warmpresswerk Max B. Schachmann GmbH

First of all, our preparation unit compiles all the data and documents needed
for the production procedure. We then take the correct primary material from
our storage room and cut it down to the required weight using a billet shear
or a saw.

Next it is heated inductively in one of our ovens, which range from 300 to
1000 kW.

The material is then hot worked using an eccentric press, a friction screw press,
or a coupling spindle press. The moulding process can reach a press force of up
to 31500 kN.

After the forging process, we remove any burrs left on the object. This can take
place directly after the material has been reshaped or later when it has cooled
down. To create the best surface possible and ensure that any remaining burrs
and slag deposits are removed, all our products are sandblasted.

Finally, the item either undergoes a final check or is processed further to make
it into a semi-finished or finished product.
